April 23 and 24, 2005
Public Transphere was a two-day public event, took place in a van
touring three Buffalo neighborhoods that are divided by race and economic status:
Allentown, the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus and the Fruit Belt.
This was a free public transportation service for passengers
from different parts of the city. Riders discussed
their everyday realities, shared opinions and exchanged concerns
about their communities. Archive Website.
500 invitations were printed and distributed free of charge to several venues
including community organizations, churches, stores and libraries.
